Where is Monterey?

Monterey & Carmel are located south of Santa Cruz and it is approximately a 3 hour drive to take you there from San Francisco. When visiting, be sure to take a camera (and friends) as there are many beautiful sites around the area. You can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the beach, visit the shops along the main street or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants Monterey and Carmel have to offer.

  • Head northeast on Market St toward 11th St
  • Turn right at 10th St
  • Turn left onto US-101 S toward San Jose
  • Take exit 336 to merge onto CA-156
  • Continue on CA-1 S
  • Take the exit toward Monterey
  • Keep left at the fork

Monterey from Los Angeles

  • How to get there...
  • Head northeast on N Main St toward E 1st St
  • Turn left at W Temple St
  • Turn right at N Grand Ave
  • Turn left to merge onto Hollywood Fwy/US-101 N
  • Continue on CA-170 N/Hollywood Fwy
  • Slight left at I-5 N
  • Take exit 278 toward Lost Hills
  • Turn left at CA-46
  • Continue on E Hwy-46
  • Turn right to merge onto El Camino Real N/US-101 N
  • Take the exit toward Peninsula/Monterey
  • Turn right at S Sanborn Rd
  • Continue on E Blanco Rd
  • Turn left at CA-68/S Main St/Monterey Salinas Hwy
  • Continue to follow CA-68/Monterey Salinas Hwy
  • Take the ramp onto CA-1 S/CA-68 W
  • Take the exit toward Monterey
  • Keep left at the fork
